Yes there is alway 1 rifle & shotgun under lock. But when the alarm was activated - both shotgun and rifle + tranquiliar rifles is all draw and on sight !!! What John Wong say is correct - they could not have shot at the tigers as the guy to too close , but the situation already critical - throwing things like broom and other things does not work. They should have shot the rifle or shotgun in the air. That would have cause a huge sound which is more effective in frighting the tiger away. This case I frankly feel that the Zoo have been wrong in not even firing in the air !!! Maybe that would not have work , but at least they tried !!! The Zoo if so scare of wasting bullets or frightening their tigers - then they should consider - bring in high frequently sound weapon or pepper bomb .... etc!!!

It all depend on your neighbourhood. In city where you University is - you should be safe, as for train it is ok. But from train station to you home - that may be a little too quiet for confort - thus would think better get a family memeber to wait pick you up.

So I'm left wondering, is acupuncture supposed to be that painful? Even though the injured muscle might have been inflammed for quite some time?

Actually usually acupuncture are not usually that painful, that you jump up.But then it have to depend on the skill of your doctor, the type of injuries and location of the injuries. If it your palm, then it may be painful as there is least meat there, lots of sensitive points. For your case think you did not seek instant treatment thus the injuries was inflammed, yep that will be painful.

The question to ask yourself is the affected part feeling a lot better, usually you can feel the different. If yes good go for another time, it will do wonder to totally cure your injuries. If you don't feel better or feel worse - go see another acupuncturist !!! Usually if the first session is done properly, the 2nd time you do it will be a lot less painful as the imflamation is gone.

Your picture show what happen to the suv in iraq, is not fair as even landrover if get hit by that same amount of firepower also cannot survive, it will end up the same.

Yes on tv - future weapons, I would say Dragonskin look good, and look like it can stop bullets .....but does not mean there is no other body armour that is not better. If really good things, special forces all around the world would have rush to get and use it - like MP-5 !!! But there is a lack of rush into getting dragonskin, i am sure that they would have tested it, but possible it is still not good enough to persuade the world special forces that it is that good enough yet

define "new and better" BA. if i m not mistaken. First let correct you since you are basically arguing with the wrong information. So far in the world Body Armour classification - is I, II , IIIA, III & IV only .... I am not sure how you get mislead to think that Dragon skin is class V ?

The armor is available in two basic protection levels: SOV-2000, which was certified as Level III protection (this certification was withdrawn, and Pinnacle is suing to force the NIJ to reinstate on the basis of its own private retesting[2][3]) and SOV-3000, which is advertised as Level IV but has not yet been certified as such.[3] Pinnacle Armor's website also identifies a "Level V" variant, which does not correspond to any body armor standard and is not available to the general public .

Dragon Skin is good - that is as far as the company keep telling everyone. If it is that great every military will be running to get it, if not frankly there is alternative in the market. Just because we not jumping to get dragon skin - does not mean we getting anything inferior.

We also must get a balance of armour protection and mobility of the soldier ! Of course higher level IV is better in protection but make the soldier less mobile.

Did SAF have any specific exercise that cater to hunting of robbers !!! No ? well there is alway the 1st time. For crying out loud ! The soldiers are deploy there to guard access point here and there , and some buildings ! The one that go try to flush them out was the Police swat team, gurhkas and the more elite forces – those have train with BA before. It is not like the ordinary soldiers are ask to put up BA and ask to charge or storm the building with it on.

Look like you are right, we damn need to train for things – that why they let Selamat out – so we get more training in hunting people with BA on !!!

Did any war broke out that we have to fight with BA ? SAR-80 and SAR-88 that came to nothing ? I disagree,the main objective is to a super cheap rifle that matches M-16 in performance which can be produced in huge qualities when needed. It was good and cheap – found buyers oversea, just because there is no war -which did not see it produce in huge qualities – does not mean it failed. It achieved its purpose.

upgrade to Bionix 2 not long after Bionix 1 was introduced? Sometime a produce design start a few years before production run. Thus 20mm was indeed the choice of most at that time – till folks see the 30mm in action in war. Unfair arguement of expecting everything can be forseen.

I disagree with you on body armour. May have been slower then other modern army, but why rush into it when we do not have war on. Also we our weather is too hot, and our modern soldiers run with PT wear also can drop dead …(they not real grunt like you) rush into implement the old generation of body armour, no need to fight all drop dead !! Think the timing was good, that we waited, at least better and lighter body armour.

SAR-21 – it is a good rifle, the standard version come out with its 1.5 scope which was good. Like you say – better sights have came up … and SAR-21 did come up with version that incorporate them, too bad it is available for special units and foreign countries only. So the complain is not about the rifle itself but it is not available to the common soldiers. This is a fair point.
